背景
近年来,随着ADAS(高级驾驶辅助系统)的发展和车载信息娱乐功能的增加,车载显示器需要具备更高的清晰度以便提高视认性。针对这种需求,具有局部调光功能的LED驱动器可以只关闭液晶显示器暗部的背光,有助于提高液晶显示的清晰度并降低功耗,因此开发新一代驾驶舱的各制造商正在考虑采用这种LED驱动器。而以往的直接式LED驱动器,一枚IC可以控制的分区数不足100个,在随着显示器尺寸增大而分区数日益增加的车载显示器领域,面临着LED驱动器和外围元器件面积增加的挑战。
概要
“BD94130xxx-M”是由8路开关控制器和24通道电流驱动器组成的矩阵式LED驱动器,仅由这一枚IC即可将背光用的Mini LED分割为多达192个分区进行控制(调光)。另外,每个分区的Mini LED还可通过局部调光功能独立控制,有助于提高显示器的清晰度并降低功耗。目前,在车载显示器领域,分区数量与日俱增,而且已成为市场发展趋势,“BD94130xxx-M”与直接式的普通产品相比,一枚IC能够控制的分区数量更多,因此可以大幅削减安装面积和所需控制器数量。例如,目前主流的采用了10英寸级车载显示器的车载信息娱乐系统,需要控制大约600个分区,本产品与直接式的普通产品(支持48个分区)相比,仅需1/4的LED驱动器数量即可进行控制,LED驱动器所占的安装面积可以缩减多达84%。另外,随着新一代驾驶舱所用显示器尺寸的增大,分区数也日益增加,因此采用“BD94130xxx-M”所带来的好处越发凸显。
